What to know before you buy
A meat box is the easiest route to the cuts barbecue actually wants and supermarkets rarely carry: a whole packer brisket, plate short ribs, a bone-in shoulder, properly hung steaks. The good ones tell you the farm or the breed rather than hiding behind a marketing word.
The practical constraint is freezer space. A box only saves money and stress if you can store it, which is where a chest freezer and a vacuum sealer earn their keep, and why we file both under this shop.
