How this site makes money, in plain terms: which links are affiliate links, what we earn from them, and what that does not buy anyone.
King of the Coal is a participant in affiliate advertising programmes, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
What that means
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may receive a commission from the retailer. The price you pay is exactly the same. You are never charged more for using our link.
What it does not mean
- We are not paid to recommend specific products.
- No manufacturer has editorial input, review approval or advance sight of what we publish.
- Commission rates do not affect rankings. Where a cheaper product is the better answer, it is the pick.
- Where the honest recommendation is to buy nothing, or an accessory instead of a new grill, that is what we say.
Identifying affiliate links
Affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" and every page carrying them shows a visible disclosure near the links themselves, in line with the US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guidelines.
