How to choose
The one thing that separates a real portable grill from a tray of coals is a lid with a working damper. Without it you can only cook direct high heat, which rules out anything thicker than a sausage.
Suitcase grills fold flat with the legs clamping the lid shut, so they travel as one sealed unit with nothing to lose. Check the grill is rated for the fuel you intend to use and never, ever take a charcoal grill inside a tent or awning.
