The format advantage
A rectangle wastes far less grate than a small circle when you are cooking long items. Sausages, skewers, corn and hot dogs all lie across it properly. Folding legs clamp over the lid, so it travels as one sealed unit with nothing to lose.
Manage expectations
160 square inches is small and the shallow body means limited room to bank coals, so genuine two zone cooking is cramped. This is a high heat direct cooker for four people at most. Within that brief it is very good and close to indestructible.
